Jeff Cowell

Born in Iron Mountain, Jeff Cowell released a few LPs independently in the 70s and continues to release until this day. 2 albums were credited to his label 'My Own Record Company'. He famously did the Iron Mountain Centennial Song (which I haven't yet heard). In 2015, Numero Group, an archivist-type label that releases unknown music, rereleased 3 of his albums. Those 3 albums: Plaint, Lucky Strikes and Liquid Gold, and Iron & Ice are currently available for streaming everywhere and have found their own little audience (currently one song has 300K+ streams on spotify). His new album seems to have been uploaded to streaming services but I can't seem to find anywhere to listen to it. I'll try to get a hold of it. He also has just released a book of his 'life's work in poetry' in 2018, titled Another Life.
